About this tool
A medical record is confidential: only the patient, the treating team and whoever the law authorizes may see it. Pasting it as-is into an AI assistant takes it outside that circle.
This tool extracts the text in your browser and replaces the record number, ID number, the patient's name (when labelled as "Patient:"), dates, phones, emails and addresses. Clinical content — diagnoses, medications, progress notes — is kept, which is what the AI needs to help you.

Questions
- Which data in a medical record gets anonymized?
- Record number, national ID, the patient's name when labelled, dates, phones, emails and addresses. Diagnoses and treatments are untouched.
- Is this enough to comply with data-protection law?
- It is strong help, not a guarantee: detection is automatic and an unusually formatted value can slip through. Review the result before sharing; responsibility stays with whoever shares.
- Is the record uploaded anywhere?
- No. The PDF opens in your browser's memory and is processed there. Check it by going offline: the tool keeps working.
