About this tool

If you want an AI to summarize a contract, review an invoice or explain a report, it rarely needs to know whose it is. This tool gives you the PDF's text with personal data replaced by placeholders.

If what you need is a PDF with black boxes to send to someone else, this tool does not do that: the result is text, not a censored PDF. We prefer not to offer redaction that destroys content, and badly done redaction (a black rectangle over text that is still there) is a common mistake that leaks data.

How it works

  1. 01

    Drop the PDF.

  2. 02

Leave “Anonymize personal data” on and convert.

  3. 03

Review each highlighted item; switch anonymization off to compare.

  4. 04

Copy or download the text, and keep the map if you will restore the data.

Questions

Do I get a blacked-out PDF?
No, on purpose. The result is text (Markdown) with placeholders such as [NOMBRE_1] instead of the data. We do not do destructive redaction: nothing is destroyed, and with the map you can put the real data back into the AI's answer.
Does it catch every piece of personal data?
Not always. It works by rules: ID and tax numbers, emails, phones, dates, addresses and names when labelled. An oddly formatted value can slip through: review the result before sharing.
Can I use it to send the PDF to someone without my data?
Yes, if the text is enough. If it has to be the PDF with its layout, this tool does not produce that.
