Convert PDF to JPG or PNG

About this tool

Some places only take images: a social network, a form that wants a photo of the document, a chat that does not preview PDFs. Here each page of the PDF becomes an image.

JPG is lighter and is enough for photos and scanned documents. PNG keeps fine text and flat colours better, at the cost of being heavier. Resolution sets sharpness: 96 dpi for screens, 150 dpi as the middle ground and 300 dpi if you will print.

Pages are drawn with PDF.js, the engine Firefox uses to display PDFs, inside your browser.

Questions

How can I check that my file is not uploaded?
Open your browser's developer tools (F12), Network tab, and process a file: no request carries your document. Or load the page, go offline and use it: it keeps working.
JPG or PNG?
JPG for photos and scans, because it is lighter. PNG for documents with fine text or flat-colour graphics.
Which resolution should I pick?
150 dpi for sharing on screen; 300 dpi if you will print. More dpi is sharper and heavier.
Can I convert just one page?
Yes: use the First page to image variant, or split the PDF first and convert only the part you want.
What about the other way, image to PDF?
That is Images to PDF.
