About this tool
A PDF can carry two different passwords. The open password encrypts the content: without it nothing can be read. The permissions password lets the file open but forbids copying text, printing or editing.
If your PDF opens but has restrictions, this tool removes them without asking for anything, because the content is already readable. If it asks for a password to open, you type the one you know (bank statements often use the account holder's ID number) and download a copy that no longer asks for it.
We do not crack passwords you do not know, and we will not. With the AES-256 encryption of current PDFs it would be infeasible, and it would open other people's documents. The password you type only lives in the page's memory while you use it.
