About this tool

Plenty of forms and portals reject files above 250 KB. This tool finds the highest quality that fits: it first optimizes the PDF structure without touching the content and, if that is not enough, renders the pages as images and tunes the quality until the file lands just under 250 KB.

You see the size before and after, prior to downloading. If your PDF is already under 250 KB, you get it back optimized, never degraded. Everything runs in your browser: the file is never uploaded.

Questions

What if my PDF is already under 250 KB?
Only the lossless optimization runs. We never return a file larger than the original or degrade a PDF that already fits.
Will I lose quality compressing to 250 KB?
It depends on the starting point. If pages have to be rendered as images, text stops being selectable and sharpness drops in a controlled way; the tool picks the highest quality that fits and tells you before you download.
Why didn't it reach exactly 250 KB?
Very long or image-heavy documents can have a readable minimum above the target. In that case you get the smallest file that is still readable, clearly flagged.
