How do I know the portal's maximum size?
It is usually shown next to the upload button or in the instructions. If it isn't, 2 MB is a common limit and 500 KB a safe bet.
Will the document still be readable?
Yes: the tool picks the highest quality that fits the target and shows you the result before downloading. If the readable minimum exceeds the limit, it warns you.
